Studio Reno

July 21, 2010

To say that The Workshop has been busy would be a complete understatement. If I get a day off … well this is what I am doing. For some this is still considered work, but for us at The Workshop it seems to be the norm lately.

Most of the time has been with the silk screening studio moving from Calgary to Edmonton and it is taking a bit to get it all together. Going from 500 square feet to less than 100 is tricky. More so because the rotation of the press is 7 foot 3 and the room is 7 foot 4 across. That is what you call cutting it close.

Finding storage has been very tricky as well and making sure the shirts are not by the ink or by the messy sink. Either way I am hoping to have it fully completed in the next few weeks. Hopefully before the real work starts preparing for The Fringe … which I can’t wait for.

In the mean time I just want give you a mini sneak peak at the one side of the room. I will be sure to do full shots of the studio once it is completed.

In the end I am pretty excited I can just screen as I want … even if the room heats up to over 40 degrees … I wish I was kidding.
